Jay Z has announced that he will perform b-sides and seldom performed tracks at a concert in New York City aimed to promote his new streaming service TIDAL.
The show, set to take place on May 13, is free, but in order to win tickets, Tidal users have to submit a playlist. The show will also stream live on Tidal's website, Billboard reports.
The concert is just Jay's latest stunt to promote TIDAL. He took to Twitter recently to defend TIDAL's slow start. He said TIDAL currently has 770,000 subscribers.
"The iTunes Store wasn't built in a day," he wrote. "It took Spotify 9 years to be successful. We are here for the long haul. Please give us a chance to grow and get better."
