Melanie Fiona has released the music video for "Bite the Bullet," the lead single from her upcoming third album, Awake. The vid, directed by Carmen Murray, sees Fiona wielding a gun in a bathtub filled with bullets.
"I remember when you said you loved me, three little words that burned into my soul, maybe you didn't mean those things you told me, maybe you didn't mean those things at all, / But I'll bite the bullet," sings Fiona on the cut.
Vibe calls the song a "breezy, reggae inspired" cut which "takes us straight to the white sand beaches of the Caribbean islands."
Complex writes that the song "plays on Fiona's innate ability to hit the sweet spot between catchy, radio-friendly melodies and soulful R&B."
Fiona's last record was 2012's The MF Life.
