Despite previous reports, Sam Smith has recorded the new Bond Theme "Writing's On The Wall" for the upcoming film, Spectre.
On Labor Day the singer posted a cryptic photo to social media, which pictured a hand wearing a ring with the symbol for criminal organization SPECTRE, standing for Special Executive for Counter-intelligence, Terrorism, Revenge and Extortion.
Smith has recognized this opportunity to sing the next Bond Theme as one of his proudest moments in the music industry yet.
"This is one of the highlights of my career. I am honored to finally announce that I will be singing the next Bond theme song," Smith said in a statement. "I am so excited to be a part of this iconic British legacy and join an incredible line up of some of my biggest musical inspirations. I hope you all enjoy the song as much as I enjoyed making it."
Smith co-wrote the theme alongside Jimmy Napes.
