Rod Stewart has released the music video for "Way Back Home," a single from his 29th studio album Another Country. The black and white throwback vid, says Rod, was inspired by childhood memories.
"Having been born near the end of the Second World War, I have vivid recollections of the stories I heard from my mum and dad and my older siblings, who lived in London while the bombs were falling and knew the hardships of the '40s — hardships which continued for some while even after it was all over," Stewart said.
"Dedicated to my sister Mary and to all those who sacrificed their lives for freedom and for peace."
He added, "I've found that the only way to write songs is to be as personal and honest as possible."
Another Country is out now.
