Indonesia's exports logged a double-digit decline in April, data from the Central Statistics Agency showed Monday.
Exports decreased 12.65 percent from last year, bigger than the expected fall of 10.9 percent.
Likewise, imports slid 14.62 percent versus an expected drop of 8.67 percent.
As imports declined at a faster pace, the trade surplus increased to $670 million in April from about $490 million in March, exceeding the expected level of $168 million.
On a monthly basis, exports slid 3.07 percent and imports dropped 4.62 percent in April.
