China's industrial profits increased in April but at a slower pace, data from the National Bureau of Statistics showed Friday.
Industrial profits grew 4.2 percent year-on-year, much slower than the 11.1 percent expansion seen in March.
During January to April, industrial profits increased 6.5 percent from the same period of last year compared to a 7.4 percent rise in three months to March.
Profits at state-owned firms declined 7.8 percent, while private firms' profits increased 8.4 percent in January to April period.
