Consumer confidence in New Zealand remained generally positive in the second quarter of 2016, albeit less so, the latest survey from Westpac Bank showed on Monday with an index score of 106.0.

That's down significantly from 109.6 in the three months prior.

However, the index remains well above the boom-or-bust line of 100 that separates pessimists from optimists.
