The services sector in Australia continued to expand in July, and at a faster pace, the latest survey from the Australian Industry Group showed on Wednesday with a Performance of Services Index score of 53.9.
That's up from 51.3 in June, and it moves further above the boom-or-bust line of 50 that separates expansion from contraction.
The sector had been mired in contraction through the end of last year and early in 2016 before rebounding in the spring.
