Tom Petty To Tour U.S. In Celebration Of 40th Anniversary

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers are set to do a major U.S. tour begining in the early spring of 2017. The tour is in honor of the 40-year anniversary of their self-titled debut album.

The tour kicks off in April at the Chesapeake Energy Center in Oklahoma on April 20. The 30-date outing will wrap up with a two-night stand at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, New York on July 26 and 27. Singer Joe Walsh will be the supporting act for most of the scheduled performances. Chris Stapleton will be the supporting act for a few select dates as well.

For those who are a member of the Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers Highway Companions Club, tickets will go on sale December 14 at 10 a.m. local time. For the general public, tickets go on sale December 16 10 a.m. local time.
