South Korea PPI Jumps 1.3% In January

Producer prices in South Korea were up 1.3 percent on month in January, the Bank of Korea said on Monday.

That follows the 0.8 percent gain in December.

By category, prices for agricultural, forestry and marine products jumped 4.0 percent on month, while manufacturing products climbed 1.9 percent, services added 0.3 percent and utilities were flat.

On a yearly basis, producer prices spiked 3.7 percent after rising 1.8 percent in the previous month.
