Malaysia's producer price inflation accelerated in May after easing in the previous two months, figures from the Department of Statistics showed Friday.
The producer price index for local production climbed 8.0 percent year-over-year in May, faster than the 7.5 percent rise in April.
The price index for mining sector increased the most by 16.9 percent annually in May, followed by agriculture, forestry& fishing sector with 6.4 percent growth.
On a monthly basis, producer prices dropped 0.2 percent from May, when it decreased by 0.9 percent.
