Eurozone investor confidence strengthened to a 10-year high in October, survey results from think tank Sentix showed Monday.
The investor confidence index rose unexpectedly to 29.7 in October from 28.2 in September. The score was forecast to fall to 28.0.
Sentix said the economic momentum continues in the currency bloc.
The current situation index advanced to 41.8 from 39.8 in the previous month. Likewise, the expectations indicator came in at 18.3, up from 17.3 a month ago.
In Germany, the investor sentiment index rose to 37.7 from 34.0 in September. The first economic test after the Bundestag elections can be considered successful, Sentix said.
