Rep. Bob Goodlatte, who chairs the House Judiciary Committee, is likely the first Congress member to disclose holdings in cryptocurrencies, as reported by Sludge.
According to his annual Financial Disclosure Statement, Goodlatte owns between $17,000 and $80,000 in digital currency. He has principally invested in Bitcoin, along with nominal holdings in Ethereum and Bitcoin Cash.
