Rapper Young Thug has reportedly turned himself in to authorities in response to an arrest warrant issued over eight felony charges for illegal drug and firearm possession on Tuesday.
Thug was booked for possession and intent to distribute meth, hydrocodone, and weed, according to the Dekalb County Sheriff's Department website.
He was also charged with possession of a firearm and other substances including two counts of codeine possession, possession of amphetamine, marijuana and Alprazolam.
The current charges reportedly stem from an incident in September of last year.
Thug, who is currently on a Tour with J. Cole, surrendered into Georgia police after announcing the release of his latest music project, On The Rvn.
As per the law of the state of Georgia, the rapper will have to serve a mandatory, one-year sentence in jail.
