LXDX, founded by former SpaceX engineer Joshua Greenwald, plans to launch ultra high-performance cryptocurrency exchange that would provide algorithmic trading to all investors.
The company, which currently provides high-performance exchange technology and services, said its exchange would feature the advanced institutional tools of high finance to all crypto investors.
The company is led by CEO Greenwald, former SpaceX automation and propulsion engineer and founder of high-frequency trading firm Greenlight Trading.
Greenwald said the company's immediate focus is on cryptocurrency and enabling every investor to utilize the exclusive tools, like smart order routing, that only institutions previously could access.
LXDX said it is working with a group of organizations including San Francisco crypto hedge fund Autonomous Partners, Aon in London, and global law firm DLA Piper. The company has received a round of equity investment, lead by cornerstone investor Dymon Asia Capital Fund LP.
The company recently relocated to Malta, which welcomes cryptocurrency and blockchain businesses as the small island nation plans to transform itself into a fintech hub and a crypto-friendly "Blockchain island."
