Tom Petty's widow Dana Petty has filed new appeals against the late rock singer's daughters Adria Petty and Annakim Violette Petty, Billboard reported quoting documents filed in Los Angeles County court.
Dana has filed two separate petitions. She asked the court to deny a petition filed by Adria in April demanding that Dana finance Petty Unlimited, a firm set up to receive assets from Petty's trust. Dana says she wants to fund and execute an operating agreement for Tom Petty Legacy, a separate LLC that she established on her own.
Adria accused Dana of withholding Petty's assets from Petty Unlimited to prevent his daughters from participating equally in the management of those assets.
"Over the past weeks and months, however, the behavior of her stepdaughters Adria and Annakim has gone from unconscionable to unhinged -- and it needs to be stopped," according to a statement by Dana's lawyer Adam Streisand.
