John & Yoko: Above Us Only Sky, a documentary examining John Lennon and Yoko Ono's relationship and the making of the 1971 album Imagine, will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray on September 13.
The film "traces the untold story of the making of John Lennon's 1971 album Imagine, and recounts a story of hope for a world divided yet still desperately in need of peace, justice, empathy and love. T he album, and its iconic title track, exemplify the extraordinary genius behind the music that defined a movement and marked an era," says an announcement about the documentary.
The film, directed by Michael Epstein, includes exclusive interviews with Ono and those closest to the couple at the time, including John Lennon's son Julian, photographer David Bailey and gallerist John Dunbar.
