Country duo Maddie & Tae have dropped the official music video for their latest single, "Die From A Broken Heart."
Directed by Carlos Ruiz, the video revolves around the lifespan of a doomed relationship and stars Tae Dye herself, who plays the role of a woman whose heart was recently broken by a man to whom she was engaged.
"We knew that with a song like 'Die From a Broken Heart,' the music video needed to come from that same vulnerability and that's exactly what we did," Dye shared in a recent press release.
"Carlos was the best director to collaborate with on this video," added Maddie Marlow. "He really listened to our vision and what we wanted this video to look and feel like."
The video also explores the point of view of the heartbroken woman's best friend, played by Maddie, who's always there for some wine and a much-needed hug.
"My goal was to tell the story as honestly as possible and make people feel for either the one with her heartbroken or for the best friend having to watch her go through it," said Maddie.
Meanwhile, the duo are currently making their way across North America, supporting Carrie Underwood on her "Cry Pretty 360 Tour."
