After a gap of 14 years, Missy Elliott has released a new album, titled Iconology.
Elliott also released a video for the album's first single, "Throw It Back," which features a cameo by Teyana Taylor.
Announcing the album on Twitter, Elliot said, "At midnight tonight I'm dropping a collection of new songs! Let's #ThrowItBack to a time when music just felt good and made us want to dance! Sincerely, Dr. Melissa "Missy" Elliott."
"Cool Off," "DripDemeanor (featuring Sum1)," "Why I Still Love You," and its Capella version are the other songs in the five track EP.
Elliott, who is suffering from Graves' disease, will receive the Video Vanguard Award at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards on Monday. She will become the first female rapper to win the award.
