Z2 Comics has revealed the tracklist of a companion album for the upcoming "Grateful Dead Origins" graphic novel.
Early this year, Z2 Comics announced that a graphic novel focused on the origins of the Grateful Dead will be released in 2020.
The comic book publisher has now revealed that the forthcoming graphic novel, illustrated by Noah Van Sciver and written by Chris Miskiewicz, will also feature an accompanying soundtrack curated by the Dead's own archivist, David Lemieux.
The standard edition of the novel, which will be released on April 14, 2020, will come with an exclusive download of 13 Grateful Dead recordings selected by Lemieux.
The tracks are from the band's early years, and include "The Golden Road (To Unlimited Devotion)," "Morning Dew," "Viola Lee Blues," "That's It For The Other One," "China Cat Sunflower," "Cosmic Charlie," "Big Railroad Blues" and more.
The deluxe edition of "Grateful Dead Origins" will also include a vinyl LP featuring live recordings from an August 21, 1968, concert at the Fillmore West in San Francisco.
