Jason Aldean has earned his seventh No. 1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart with his latest album, 9.
In its first week ending November 28, 9 earned 83,000 equivalent album units, with 68,000 in album sales, according to Nielsen Music.
On the all-genre Billboard 200 chart, 9 debuted at No. 2, which is Aldean's eighth top 10.
9, released on November 22 and produced by Michael Knox, includes 16 tracks. The album follows 2018's Rearview Town, which also opened atop the Top Country Albums chart on April 28, 2018, with 183,000 units.
"In this day and age, everybody is not cutting full-length albums anymore. It's trending more towards these EPs, and that's just not the way I want to make music," Aldean recently told Billboard.
"Streaming changed the way everybody does anything," he added. "I feel like when you are cutting an album, you kind of get into a groove and you can start really just making a great project."
