To celebrate the recent release of their self-titled new album, The Who announced an intimate acoustic show at the Pryzm night club in the London suburb of Kingston-Upon-Thames on February 14.
Dubbed the rock band's smallest live show in over 40 years, it marks the 50th anniversary of their historic Live at Leeds concert.
The Who says the new album is their best since 1975. All but two songs of this album were written last year.
Speaking more about it, Pete Townshend said, "There is no theme, no concept, no story, just a set of songs that I (and my brother Simon) wrote to give Roger Daltrey some inspiration, challenges and scope for his newly revived singing voice."
"Roger and I are both old men now, by any measure, so I've tried to stay away from romance, but also from nostalgia if I can," he added. "I didn't want to make anyone feel uncomfortable. Memories are okay, and some of the songs refer to the explosive state of things today."
