American business magazine Forbes has revealed its list of the ten top-earning musicians of the decade, featuring a diverse group of artists.

Rapper and superproducer Dr. Dre tops the list with an estimated $950 million in earnings in the 2010s despite not releasing an album since 2015's Compton.

Forbes said Dr. Dre topped the list mostly due his roughly 20 percent stake in headphone maker Beats, which Apple bought for $3 billion in 2014.

Taylor Swift came in second on the list at $825 million followed by Beyoncé with $685 million, with both benefiting from multiple centimillion-dollar tours, several multiplatinum albums and a slew of multimillion-dollar sponsor partnerships.

U2 is the top rock act on the list at $675 million, while Diddy, Elton John, Jay-Z, Paul McCartney, Katy Perry, and Lady Gaga round out the top ten.

Forbes noted Michael Jackson's staggering $2.37 billion in earnings for the decade easily tops his living peers, but the magazine does not count postmortem earnings for its list.
