Lil Wayne's new album, Funeral, has debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, making it the rapper's 5th record to reach the top spot.
"Thank You Thank You Thank You!!! I Ain't Sh*t Without You!! #Funeral" Lil Wayne wrote on Instagram alongside a screenshot of the Billboard article revealing the news.
The album, which was released on January 31, 2020, is Lil Wayne's 12th effort to make it to the Top 10 on the chart, with the 1999 release, Tha Block Is Hot, which debuted at No. 3 on the list dated November 20, 1999, being his first-ever record to achieve the feat.
Funeral earned a total of 139,000 equivalent album units in the U.S in the week ending February 6, 72% of which were constituted by streaming activity.
Other Lil Wayne albums that have previously topped the chart include Tha Carter V (2018), Tha Carter IV (2011), I Am Not a Human Being (2010) and Tha Carter III (2008).
