The Who have announced that they are postponing their U.K. and Ireland tour in response to the coronavirus outbreak.
The tour was due to start on March 16 in Manchester and conclude in Wembley on April 8.
"The fans' safety is paramount and given the developing Coronavirus situation, the band felt that they had no option but to postpone the shows," the English rock group said in a statement.
The dates will be rescheduled for later in the year, and all tickets will be honored.
The Who singer Roger Daltrey assured that the shows will definitely take place.
"It may be the last time we do a tour of this type, so keep those tickets, as the shows will be fantastic," he told fans.
Guitarist Pete Townshend added, "If one fan caught Coronavirus at a WHO concert it would be one too many."
The Who will also be unable to appear at the Royal Albert Hall on March 28 as part of the annual Teenage Cancer Trust shows but said they intend to reschedule that show as well.
