Former Bad Company singer Brian Howe died at his home in Florida on Wednesday, May 6, from cardiac arrest. He was 66.
"It is with deep and profound sadness that we announce the untimely passing of a loving father, friend and musical icon, Brian Howe," his longtime friend and manager Paul Easton said, People.com reported.
"Finding the appropriate words to express the pain in our hearts over losing my brother has been difficult. Our family would like to thank you for your compassion and the outpouring of love we are receiving," Howe's sister Sandie added.
The singer/songwriter previously suffered a serious heart attack in 2017.
Howe had joined Bad Company in 1985, replacing Paul Rodgers as lead vocalist. Howe sang on Bad Company's Fame and Fortune (1986), Dangerous Age (1988), Holy Water (1990), and Here Comes Trouble (1992).
Howe also released three solo albums, including 1997's Tangled in Blue, 2003's Touch, and 2010's Circus Bar.
