SZA has teamed up with Ty Dolla $ign for a new song called "Hit Different," the singer's first new music as a lead artist since releasing Ctrl in 2017.

"Hit different when I'm sitting here alone all by myself," Ty Dolla $ign sings. "Hit different when I think you might be with somebody else."

"All that I know is/It was inside me," SZA sings. "May recognize you/Please don't deny me."

SZA also dropped an accompanying video for the song. In the clip, which was directed by SZA herself, the singer dances with a group of other women at a junkyard.

The new song drops after SZA recently voiced her frustrations about why her highly anticipated follow-up album was being delayed.

In a tweet, the singer wrote, "At this point y'all gotta ask punch," referencing Top Dawg Entertainment boss Terrence "Punch" Henderson.

Later, after a fan asked if her relationship with the label was "adverse or hostile," she responded, "BEEN hostile."
