IFC Films has released the first official trailer of the upcoming David Bowie biopic Stardust, starring Johnny Flynn as Bowie.

In addition to Flynn, the visual also features Marc Maron as Bowie's publicist Ron Oberman, and Jena Malone as Angie Bowie.

The main focus of the movie is on a U.S. publicity tour undertaken by Bowie in 1971, which led to the invention of the Ziggy Stardust character.

Flynn wrote and recorded an original song for Stardust, titled "Good Ol' Jane" and intended for it to sound like "an early, lost [Bowie] song that people haven't heard."

Stardust, directed by Gabriel Range, will be coming to theaters and streaming platforms on November 25.

However, the biopic is unofficial as it doesn't have the approval of his estate or include any of his music. In a recent interview with The Guardian, Flynn said, "We're potentially going to get a lot of flak from the Bowie army," as the movie does not contain any original songs by Bowie.

Bowie, one the world's most influential artists and a pop culture icon, died on January 10, 2016. He sold more than 100 million records during his lifetime, becoming one of the all-time best-selling musicians.
