Mariah Carey recently shared on social media the long-lost music video for her 1996 single "Underneath the Stars."

"It's one of my favorite songs from the Daydream album and somehow never got released. I'm so happy to have found it for #MC30," Carey wrote on Twitter after posting the video

"One summer night/ We ran away for a while/ Laughing we hurried beneath the sky/ To an obscure place to hide/ That no one could find/ And we drifted to another state of mind/ And imagined I was yours and you were mine/ As we lay upon the grass there in the dark/ Underneath the stars," the superstar, clad in a lavender slip dress, sings in the track's opening verse.

The video also features scenes from Carey's 1996 Daydream World Tour.

"Little known fact, I actually shot a video 4 'Underneath The Stars' in France & England that never got released & I don't know where it is!" she had said in 2012.

"Underneath the Stars," a single from Carey's album Daydream, reached No. 13 on Billboard's R&B Digital Song Sales chart 24 years after its release.
