Roddy Ricch topped Apple Music's 2020 year-end song and album charts.
Ricch's "The Box," which spent eleven weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, was named Apple Music's most-streamed song of 2020 around the world. The rapper's Please Excuse Me for Being Antisocial was the most-streamed album.
According to Apple Music's internal metrics, "The Box" earned 13.7 million plays on the streaming platform in its debut week. The song exceeded 30 million weekly plays globally by the second week of January.
The second most-streamed song on Apple Music was The Weeknd's smash hit "Blinding Lights".
Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's "WAP" had the most-read lyrics of the year, while the Top Shazamed Song was Tones and I's "Dance Monkey."
"Dance Monkey" was also the third most-streamed song of the year on Apple Music.
