R&B singer The Weeknd (Abel Makkonen Tesfaye) has starred in a brand-new Super Bowl advertisement for Pepsi.
The 1-minute video released on YouTube features men and women from all walks of life vibing to the singer's no. 1 smash hit, "Blinding Lights," including a security guard at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, who instantly freezes when he spots Tesfaye at the front of the line of vehicles seeking entry to the venue.
The 30-year-old singer not only stars in the advertisement, but as is obvious from the campaign, is also set to headline the Super Bowl Halftime Show on Sunday, February 7.
"We all grow up watching the world's biggest acts playing the Super Bowl and one can only dream of being in that position," he shared in a statement. "I'm humbled, honored and ecstatic to be the center of that infamous stage this year."
