With support from stars across the entertainment industry, international advocacy organization Global Citizen has launched a "Recovery Plan for the World" - a campaign to end COVID-19 for all and kick start a global recovery.
The year-long campaign and series of events are designed with five goals: To end COVID-19 for all, end the hunger crisis, resume learning everywhere, protect the planet and advance equity for all.
Leaders in music and entertainment, many of whom are long-time partners of Global Citizen, have raised their hands to support the campaign. They include Billie Eilish, Coldplay, Femi Kuti, H.E.R. , Hugh Jackman, Idris Elba, Sabrina Elba, Jonas Brothers, Lang Lang, Lars Ulrich, Miley Cyrus, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Rachel Brosnahan, SuperM, Usher and Yemi Alade.
Global Citizen Ambassadors Jill Veddar and Olivia Vedder have also signed on to support the Recovery Plan for the World campaign.
The United Nations and 23 governments have also expressed their collective support for the effort.
