Eric Church has soared from No. 86 to No. 1 on the Billboard Artist 100 chart dated May 1, becoming the top musical act in the U.S. for the first time thanks to the success of his new album, Heart, which debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200.
According to MRC Data, Heart earned 49,000 equivalent album units in the tracking weak, with 40,000 coming from album sales. The record debuted atop the all-genre Top Album Sales chart.
With Heart's debut at No. 5, Church now has six top 10s on the Billboard 200. It's his first entry into the top 10 since Desperate Men hit No. 5 in 2018.
On the Top Country Albums chart, Heart debuted at No. 3, earning Church his ninth top 10 and eighth top five.
