Young Thug is set to make his acting debut in Tiffany Haddish's musical drama Throw It Back.
Throw It Back follows high school senior Wytrellm, portrayed by Shahadi Wright Joseph, as she tries to earn a spot on a dance team assembled by a "controversial superstar Miami rapper", which will be probably portrayed by Young Thug. Shahadi is known for her role as Zora Wilson and Umbrae in Jordan Peele's Us.
Young Thug will also oversee the film's soundtrack as well as executive produce it.
Shadae Lamar Smith will direct the movie based on a script he co-wrote with Rochée Jeffrey. Haddish, who will also play a supporting role in the movie, will produce the movie along with Melanie Clark, Paul Feig, and Laura Fischer.
