Garth Brooks' fans who plan to catch the country superstar at his August 7 concert at Kansas City's Arrowhead Stadium also have an opportunity to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
According to the Kansas City Star, a COVID-19 vaccination clinic will be set up on-site during the concert.
Kansas City Chiefs President Mark Donovan said Monday that the team plans to take every opportunity to offer vaccinations at Arrowhead. The organization's "goal is to get as many people vaccinated as possible, on the business side as well as in the community," he added.
Donovan said, "We've got a little concert coming up here with Garth Brooks with about 70,000-plus fans, and we're working on having a vaccination site on-site for the concert. We'll continue to do that. Not sure if we're going to be able to do it on game days. We're trying to work through that as well."
