Former Blink-182 bandmates Mark Hoppus and Tom DeLonge recently caught up with each other on Hoppus' Apple Music 1 show, "After School Radio."

They spoke about a variety of subjects, including the time they nearly convinced acclaimed film director M. Night Shyamalan to direct a Blink-182 music video.

According to the pair, the band approached the director at a hotel in Japan and even proceeded to have a brainstorming session with him.

"Within half an hour, we're all sitting together and he's coming up with ideas for a Blink video," Hoppus shared. "And I mean, he did come up with a whole treatment and everything."

Eventually, however, Shyamalan had to turn down the offer, as the typically low budget for music videos just seemed impossible for him to work with; "He was like, 'I'm not going to do this, this is a nightmare,'" DeLonge explained.
