Patricia Kennealy-Morrison, rock music reporter and former partner of Doors frontman Jim Morrison, has died at the age of 75.
The Lizard Queen Press, a publishing company founded by Patricia, confirmed the news on the Facebook.
It said Patricia's family announced that she died in the morning of July 23. It did not reveal the cause of death.
"To say we are all reeling from the news is an understatement. We will miss our friend very very much. She was a beautiful soul, a talented writer, and a loving and wonderful friend," read a statement by the publishing group.
Patricia Kennealy-Morrison, who was also an author, exchanged vows with Jim Morrison in a so-called "handfasting ceremony" in 1970.
The ceremony was featured in the 1991 film The Doors, directed by Oliver Stone.
