Country music star Trace Adkins has joined the cast of Fox's country music drama "Monarch."
Adkins will star alongside previously announced cast members Susan Sarandon and Anna Friel in the series.
Adkins will play Albie Roman, the king of country music who's known as the "Texas Truthteller," and is married to Dottie Cantrell Roman, portrayed by Sarandon, who is known as the Queen of Country Music. "Monarch" was created by Melissa London Hilfers.
"Monarch" will premiere on January 30, following the NFL's 2021-2022 season NFC championship game. The two-night premiere event will continue on February 1.
