Country superstar Garth Brooks has divulged the reason for restarting his "Dive Bar Tour."
According to the Country Music Hall of Famer, playing at smaller club venues, instead of his planned stadium concerts, are safer for fans during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Speaking on his Facebook series "Inside Studio G," Brooks reminded his fans that "stadiums are officially out for this year." He further explained that dive bars and small venues are better because it's easier to enforce vaccine requirements.
"The dive bars are vaccinated!" Brooks said. "That's how you get to do it."
The country singer had kicked off his stadium tour in 2019 but had to stop it due to the pandemic in 2020. He restarted it up again in July this year only to bring it to a halt again due to increase in coronavirus cases.
The singer's "Dive Bar" shows will only be open to people who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 or can show proof of a negative COVID-19 test.
Last week, Brooks had announced that he will perform a concert on October 11 at Oklahoma City's Diamond Ballroom, with a string of other dates to be announced later.
