Stocks are seeing modest strength in morning trading on Friday, with the major averages all moving higher after ending the previous session mixed. Buying interest has remained somewhat subdued, however, limiting the upside for the markets.
Currently, the major averages are off their highs of the session but still in positive territory. The Dow is up 34.17 points or 0.1 percent at 35,955.40, the Nasdaq is up 43.48 points or 0.3 percent at 15,747.77 and the S&P 500 is up 6.44 points or 0.1 percent at 4,655.71.
