E Street Band guitarist Nils Lofgren has decided to pull his music from Spotify.

Lofgren joins Joni Mitchell and Neil Young in demanding that their music be pulled from the music platform in protest against misinformation spread about the Covid vaccine on the streaming service.

In a statement posted on his website, Lofgren and his wife Amy cited an open letter signed by the global scientific and medical communities asking Spotify to implement a misinformation policy and criticizing the streaming platform for hosting Joe Rogan's podcast, "The Joe Rogan Experience."

"As I write this letter, we've now gotten the last 27 years of my music taken off Spotify," Lofgren said. "We are reaching out to the labels that own my earlier music to have it removed as well. We sincerely hope they honor our wishes, as Neil's labels have done, his. We will do everything possible towards that end and will keep you posted."

He joined Young and Mitchell in calling on all musicians, artists and music lovers to stand with them and cut ties with Spotify.
