Micky Dolenz has announced a special tour in honor of his departed Monkees bandmates Michael Nesmith, Peter Tork, and Davy Jones.

The tour, billed as "Micky Dolenz Celebrates the Monkees," kicks off on April 5 at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee, and wraps up on April 16 at Overture Center For The Arts in Madison, Wisconsin.

Tickets for "Micky Dolenz Celebrates The Monkees" go on sale on Friday, February 11.

"I felt it was important to gather the fans and properly celebrate the lives of Davy, Mike and Peter," Dolenz said in a statement. "People have been contacting me, requesting that I honor them in a way where the extraordinary impact of the Monkees can be properly acknowledged."

He added, "We spent such a great deal of time together; they were like my brothers, and I want to share some of the great joy we had together."

Nesmith died of heart failure on December 10, 2021, less than a month after the final date of a 2021 tour. Nesmith's passing left Dolenz as the only surviving member of the band.

Dolenz will be backed by a seven-piece band for the show and will play all the Monkees hits in addition to songs by all three of his former bandmates, including Nesmith's "Different Drum" and "Papa Gene's Blues," Tork's "For Pete's Sake" and "Can You Dig It?" and Jones' "(Look Out) Here Comes Tomorrow" and "Valleri."
