Country music star Lauren Alaina recently made her return to "American Idol" as a guest mentor on Season 20 of the reality singing competition.
Alaina mentored the country genre during the episode that aired on Monday, March 28. Besides Alaina, other returning "American Idol" alumni include Jordin Sparks, David Cook, Ruben Studdard and more.
"I am FLIPPING OUT to return to @americanidol as a guest mentor for #HollywoodWeek! I'll be mentoring the country genre!" Alaina announced on Instagram. "Tune in to Idol tonight to see who else joins us in Hollywood and I'll see you next week on Monday, March 28 at 8/7c on ABC."
Alaina had competed on Season 10 of "Idol" and came second in the competition that was eventually won by Scotty McCreery.
