After moving sharply higher early in the session, stocks continue to turn in a strong performance in afternoon trading on Tuesday. The major averages have all shown strong moves to the upside after ending last Friday's trading mixed.
Currently, the major averages are hovering firmly in positive territory. The Dow is up 608.00 points or 2 percent at 30,496.78, the Nasdaq is up 312.52 points or 2.9 percent at 11,110.86 and the S&P 500 is up 93.62 points or 2.6 percent at 3,768.46.
