BTS have returned to No. 1 on the Billboard Artist 100 chart, driven by the strong debut of the Korean band's compilation album Proof.

BTS jumped from No. 50 to No. 1 on the Artist 100 chart dated June 25, returning as the top musical act in the U.S. for a 21st total week on top.

Proof debuted with 314,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending June 16, according to Luminate, earning the band their sixth chart-topper.

The compilation album was released on June 10, just four days before the group announced an indefinite "hiatus" to focus on their solo careers.

The seven-member band, consisting of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook, made the surprise announcement during BTS' Festa dinner.

The South Korean band was formed in 2010 and made its U.S. Billboard chart debut in 2013. BTS has earned 15 entries on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
