Less than a week after dropping her latest studio album Renaissance, Beyoncé dropped a 4-song "Break My Soul" remix EP featuring refreshed versions of the single by Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am, Terry Hunter, Honey Dijon and DJ Nita Aviance.
"Break My Soul" was released on June 20, 2022, through Parkwood Entertainment and Columbia Records as the lead single from Beyoncé's seventh studio album Renaissance.
The song was written by Beyoncé, Tricky Stewart, The-Dream and Jay-Z, and produced by the former three. The song was met with widespread acclaim upon release, with critics praising its production and lyrics.
"Break My Soul" peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart.
All four remixes stay true to spirit of the original, while the new guests add their own unique contributions.
