A new video released by Luke Bryan for "Country On," his latest single, finds him paying tribute to hardworking Americans.
Mark Nesler, Mitch Oglesby, David Frasier and Styles Haury co-wrote the song, which praises those whose work rarely gets the appreciation they deserve. Jeff Stevens and Jody Stevens co-produced the track, which features Sarah Buxton on background vocals.
The video, directed by Shaun Silva, opens with a nod to Bryan's own upbringing on a peanut farm. It shows the singer hopping into his pickup truck and heading for town. He is shown coming across farmers, big rig drivers and cowboys, the kind of people he sings about in the lyrics.
"Hey, farmboy, keep droppin' that plow / Bailin' that hay, feedin' them cows / From the rooster crow 'til another long day is gone / Country on / Hey big rig, keep clockin' them miles / Pullin' that horn, makin' us smile / Rollin' that load down the road all night long / Country on," Bryan sings in the opening verse.
He then sings about America's heroes such as the Veterans, police officers, farmers, first responders and firefighters who are seen standing proudly in front of a large American flag.
The video also features shots from his own bar, 32 Bridge in Nashville, and the staff working there.
