Adele is one step closer to becoming an EGOT after winning an Emmy award last weekend, and she has declared that she "officially has an EGO."
Adele's CBS television special "One Night Only" won the Emmy for best outstanding variety special (pre-recorded) at Sunday night's Creative Emmy Awards - which precedes the main Emmys ceremony next week.
"Bloody hell I'm pleased as punch! Thank you @mrbenwinston for dropping this round to me this afternoon!! Trust me to officially have an EGO," Adele wrote on Instagram. "Thank you so much @televisionacad , I'm so so honored to receive this. Big up to everyone involved. @griffithobservatory thank you for letting me sing up on your mountain and big love to all the other nominees."
Adele is just one step short of joining the elite club of EGOT - multi-talented artists who win Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Awards - all four of the United States' major entertainment awards.
The English singer and songwriter has already won 15 Grammys, an Oscar and now an Emmy.
