Legendary rock band Aerosmith broke the attendance record at Boston's iconic Fenway Park after selling over 38,700 tickets.

The Grammy-winning band kicked off their 50th anniversary celebrations at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts, on Thursday, September 8. The crowd of 38,700 set a new record for the most tickets sold for a concert at the iconic baseball field.

"Thank you Boston!! You broke the record for the most tickets for any event in the 110 year history of Fenway Park!" the band shared in a post to Instagram. "50 years and still rocking!!"

The band broke Lady Gaga's recently set record. Last month, Gaga's Chromatica Ball broke the venue's one-day ticket sales record, with over 37,200 fans attending the show.
