Hip-hop superstar Lizzo is planning to drum up voter engagement through her tour in support of her second major album Special to ensure that the young generation is getting their voices heard in the upcoming 2022 midterm elections in November.
Lizzo is partnering with HeadCount, a non-profit and non-partisan organization that aims to bring voters to the booths to vote.
According to the press release, volunteers from the NGO will be present at all the venues on her tour.
HeadCount has also partnered with a lot of other musicians including artists like Alicia Keys, Dave Matthews Band, Lauv, Odesza, The Killers, Wu-Tang Clan, Nas, Idles, and My Chemical Romance.
Lizzo's tour is scheduled to begin at FLA Live in Sunrise, Florida on September 23.
